"Back in November 2007 I looked like this (fat picture on the left)… I would never have dreamed of going to the gym 6 days a week, ordering protein powder from bodybuilding.com or actually wanting to eat healthy. That was for crazy people!! Now I look more like this (not so fat picture)… I have lost over 50 pounds and almost 45 inches off my collective body parts. I’ve struggled with my weight pretty much my entire adult life. I’ve been very thin, very heavy (very) and I’ve been everything in between. At no point was I actually “fit”. improves posture and promotes mental relaxation.

"At the age of 48, I was told by my doctor that if I did not lose weight I might not make it to 58. I was 5 feet tall and weighed 270 lbs. I was considered morbidly obese. At his suggestion I went to see a bariatric surgeon. After speaking with the surgeon it became apparent that if I didn’t do something drastic I may never lose the weight. On that initial visit we scheduled my gastric bypass.I had the surgery on July 10, 2007. It was a very easy procedure for me. One of the least painful surgeries I had had.

"After giving birth to my son over two years ago, I kept telling myself I would get back in shape, but never seemed to have enough time in a day to squeeze in a workout. I mistakenly thought that if I didn’t have an hour or more to devote to exercising that it wouldn’t be worth it. So instead, I tried to manipulate my weight by eating as little as possible…until I was so hungry that I ate as much as possible! It was a physical and emotional roller coaster that I was desperate to get off of. When my well-intentioned 80-year-old mother-in-law tried to give me advice on how to get rid of my “saddle bags” I think I hit a new low. This, coupled with the fact that – despite my being in a normal weight range and having a normal BMI – my triglycerides were through the roof. Training with Angie has been mind and body changing experience! With Angie’s fitness and nutrition advice she showed me that I don’t have to run for hours or starve myself to create a body I’m not ashamed to see in a swim suit. In fact, the program Angie customized for me has me eating every 2 ½ hours (I’m NEVER hungry now), doing – at most – 20 minutes of interval cardio work, and full-body strength training three times per week. I’m so excited by the changes I’m experiencing in my improved energy level and my increasing strength! While I still struggle with body image issues, this is slowly being replaced by a new appreciation for being strong and healthy rather than caring so much about a little extra “baby fat.”"

No, I have all the training equipment we will need in my home to get in some amazing workouts. I have a home gym, treadmill, elliptical/stair climber machine,
